American Muscle| Dodge Celebrates 80 Years Of Mopar With 80 Hand-painted Custom Challengers

By  |

I’m not truly a die-hard fan of automobiles, but one must highlight brilliance when it is recognized. Dodge celebrates 80 years of Mopar and found the most impressive way to do that. According to Maxim, they are commemorating the excellence by releasing a limited edition run of hand-painted customized 2017 Dodge Challengers.

Did I mention they are going to be hand-painted? All the way down to the specifics of the vehicle, including the “392” fender badging is being hand painted rather than the typical laser cut vinyl sticker.

The automobiles will don one of two limited colors- understated Pitch Black/Billet Silver combination, or a striking Pitch Black/Contusion Blue two-tone. Dodge will be manufacturing only 80 vehicles per color.

While it will still host the staple details such as 485 horsepower and 474 lb.-ft. as other Challengers, this car adds a cold air intake through a headlight hole for a power boost, along with the Shaker Hood package.

The cars are expected to hit the lots in spring with a sticker price starting at 55,790 before shipping and options.
