He wanted to start life out on the right foot for his soon to be wife and place a nice down payment on their new home, so he pawned his Jordan collection which was comprised of 283 pair of Jordans. Reportedly it took 20 years to build the collection which the pawn shop owner stated valued at around 1.8 million yuan (roughly $160,000) he sold it for 1 million yuan.
